About SafePorch?

The creator of the SafePorch and founder of the company is Fred Bunts, SR. After 8 1/2 years of schooling in electronics, 4 while in the service, and another 4 1/2 years at major colleges and universities, Fred was well qualified to serve as an engineering technician on the preparation and launch of the Saturn V, Apollo Rocket that put the first man on the moon, Later, Fred declined the invitation to move to California to remain in the aerospace industry. Instead, Fred continued in electronics an engineering in a variety of companies an industries located primarily in his native State of Florida.

A few years ago a tornado warning was issued for the immediate area of his home. He and his family had no safe place to go. The tornado missed them, but the next morning, Fred vowed to have a safe shelter before the next tornado threatened. He began work then on what became the SafePorch storm shelter.

As Fred's plan progressed, he decided to devote full time to making and providing the SafePorch to the public. His goal was then and is now to provide quick and easy access storm protection at an affordable price and at the same time provide an attractive addition to the home.
